Alex Lyon has been consulting and facilitating workshops for over fifteen years. He has honed an expertise in the area of communication and leadership. His work focuses mainly on collaborative, transparent, and engaging leadership.

In 2016, he published his first book, Case Studies in Courageous Organizational Communication, to show how companies approach communication when they are at their best and worst. 

For the past 15 years, he has published a steady stream of original research in numerous peer-reviewed journals. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Masters in communication from California State University, Northridge. He teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in workplace communication, leadership, and corporate culture.

He lives near Rochester, NY. When he's not working, you will find him spending time with his wonderful wife, wrestling with his young son, or playing acoustic guitar.
